LipoLite
The new evolution of laser lipolysis devices, LipoLite™ is a minimally invasive treatment designed to destroy fat cells and coagulate tissue on the body and the face for a slimmer and tighter overall look. It is ideal for areas that are difficult to treat with a traditional Louisville liposuction procedure, such as under the chin and upper arms.
LipoLite features a tiny tube, called a “cannula,” which is inserted through a very small incision into your skin. The cannula contains a precise, powerful laser beam that liquefies deposits of fat cells within the treatment area. This liquefied fat is then removed through the same tiny incision using standard liposuction techniques. In addition, it tightens the skin to decrease the looseness that one sometimes sees with traditional liposuction. It can be utilized alone to treat smaller areas of fat, such as below the chin, or in combination with liposuction to remove larger areas of fat such as in the abdomen, flanks and thighs.
The Advantages of LipoLite
The primary advantage of LipoLite over traditional liposuction alone is that the LipoLite laser beam heats the skin of the treated areas, stimulating collagen production and enhancing skin tightness. LipoLite can drastically improve the results in areas such as the arms and chin. Traditional liposuction is still performed over the areas treated with LipoLite.
Candidates for LipoLite
People who are good candidate for LipoLite™ are in good health, exercise and eat a healthy diet. Despite their best efforts, some problem areas persist and they are motivated to get rid of them permanently. LipoLite™ can be used to treat any area where traditional liposuction is appropriate. We have found that the best areas are under your chin, arms, lower belly, and inner thighs. You and your surgeon will discuss how to use this laser lipolysis device to maximize your results.
The Procedure
For most patients only one treatment is required. LipoLite can be performed under general anesthesia in our AAAAF approved operating rooms at Calobrace Plastic Surgery Center or under local anesthesia. Patients have achieved satisfying results through the use of local anesthesia with minimal discomfort.
Recovery & Results
After treatment, and when the anesthesia begins to wear off, patients may experience minimal bruising, plus minor aches and pains that naturally dissipate over time. You may be cleared to return to work as soon as the day after your procedure, but check with me for specific guidelines and restrictions.
While results sometimes may be seen almost immediately, the most visible results will be achieved 6 to 8 weeks after treatment.
I have had extensive experience with LipoLite™ and have found it especially beneficial in areas where skin tightening is important. These areas include your arms, inner thighs, under your chin and lower abdomen. My patients have found LipoLite™ to be a less invasive procedure with minimal downtime.
