"29 YO, 5'2", 121 Lbs, no kids, 32B - OKAY!So I'm 29 years old, 5'2", no kids, small frame, 121 lbs. After running for two years, I decided to weight lift with my husband and it's SO MUCH BETTER than the exhaustion of running. But, my body changed in ways that I wasn't expecting.. I gained a lot of muscle that's shaping my body and becoming more fit (woo hoo!) , but my boobs shrank from a D to a B! I've always been open minded..."- H. / RealSelf / Sep 07, 2018
"I’m a patient of Dr. Mizuguchi, 12 days post abdominalplasty. If I could give a 10 on the review I would. My husband and I first met him in June, our first consultation. We had planned on getting more than 1 opinion. However, after meeting him and his NP(Emmy) we were confident we had chosen the right team for the job. We couldn’t have had a better experience from the very first visit to my now 3rd postop visit. Professionalism, kindness, availability, experience and skill all receive a 10 from us. My results are more than I could have anticipated and we are only on day 12. I just have to say that Emmy goes above and beyond as well. Her attentiveness to every detail made my experience amazing. My advice to anyone who is considering cosmetic surgery DO IT and DO IT with this team. My only regret is I didn’t do it sooner."- T.D. / Google / Sep 05, 2018
"The best! I have felt so good about myself. Ultimately it’s the results that matter and I couldn’t be more pleased. The staff are fabulous and the doctor is the best, plus a great guy!! But like I said, it’s the results that matter and mine were perfect??"- M.B. / Google / Aug 11, 2018
What to Expect
An outpatient procedure, rhinoplasty is performed while you are under general anesthesia at an accredited surgical facility. Depending on the technique used and your unique needs, surgery can last 2 – 4 hours. There are two types of nose surgery procedures: open rhinoplasty and closed rhinoplasty.
Open rhinoplasty, or external rhinoplasty, involves our plastic surgeon making a small incision on the underside of the nose between the nostrils to give him better access to the lower and middle parts of the nose. Our surgeon can then manipulate tissue, skin, and bone as needed. In addition, the placement of the incisions allows for minimal scarring. Open rhinoplasty is used for more complex nose surgeries.
With closed rhinoplasty, or endonasal rhinoplasty, incisions are made inside of the nostrils. This technique is usually used for less complex surgeries, such as when the nose already has a good shape and isn’t considered too wide or too long. Due to the placement of the incisions, there should be no visible scarring.
After surgery, your nose can be stabilized with splints made of soft material. A follow-up appointment will be scheduled for the next day where the splints will be removed and external dressings will be placed on the nose, which will remain for about two days. You should expect some pain, discomfort, bruising, and swelling after surgery that should fully subside within a few weeks. The nose will reposition and evolve into its surgically enhanced shape for months after surgery. The finished product should be fully realized within a year with a beautifully shaped, positioned, and proportionate nose.
