Calling All 2026 Brides (& Grooms)!

Calling all Fiancé's out there who are planning for their big day! We are going to break down all the procedures and treatments we typically see as part of the wedding glow regimen and when the best time to have them done are.
First, if you are looking for a more corrective, longer down-time procedure such as a laser treatment, we recommend doing these 12-6 months out as a more long-term prep. At Mizuguchi Plastic Surgery, we offer the Helix laser, which is a customizable ablative and non-ablative laser which basically means it can target both topical and under the skin. The perfect candidate for the Helix laser is really anyone who is wanting to correct wrinkles, acne scars, sun damage, and sagging of the skin. Since the Helix is completely customizable, patients can have a light treatment with barely any downtime or they can have an aggressive more intensive treatment, which will have them laying low for about a week.
Another great treatment we offer to treat acne, pigmentation, and texture is the VI PEEL. With several different options of peels, we are able to better target your skin's concerns. Usually, it is recommended to do a series of 3 VI PEEL's, spacing them out depending on the quality of skin and desired goals. The closest we recommend having a peel done is 4-6 weeks prior to the big day. This allows for the peeling process to finish, skin to heal, and redness to fade, ensuring a glowing complexion.
Now one of our personal favorites before a big event or wedding celebration, is an AquaGold Facial. The ideal window to have this done is 10-14 days before your wedding day. If you know you have more sensitive skin, we would recommend 14-20 days prior. This is an incredible treatment before an event because it provides an instant "glow-up" by depositing tiny amount of hyaluronic acid and vitamins into the skin, which is ideal for increasing hydration. This customized cocktail of botox, filler, HA, and antioxidants, are stamped into the superficial layer of the skin. The results are a beautiful glowy, dewy, flawless look that will have you looking absolutely fabulous.
If you are a current Tox user (Botox, Dysport, or Xeomin), the best time to have your pre-wedding treatment is going to be 1 month before. This allows for enough time for the neurotoxin to kick in and still leave some time for touch-ups, if needed!
These are just a few of our top treatments to get you ceremony ready! As always, consult your provider and have them make a specific plan and timeline for you.
