Helix laser from Cartessa Aesthetics offers customized ablative CO2 and fractionated non-ablative skin resurfacing treatments which can be used alone or together for superior results and healing time.
What are the available types of Helix treatments?
There are three customizable treatment options available with the Helix laser. Those are:
CoolPeel: The award-winning, no-downtime fractional ablative treatment. This treatment is best for treating texture, pigmentation, and pores. The Coolpeel can treat all Fitzpatrick skin types and help to resurface superficial concerns.
Sultra: The gentle, fractional non-ablative thermal collagen stimulation treatment. Sultra is a fractional non-ablative treatment intended to increase collagen production to tighten and lift the skin. This treatment does not affect the epidermis as it treats deep into the dermis.
Fusion: Mixed treatments for faster healing and enhanced results with options safe for all skin types. Fusion combines both ablative and non-ablative treatments to treat both superficial and deeper areas. This procedure works to target fine lines, texture and pigment as well as wrinkles, acne scars, pores, and skin laxity.

Dr mizuguchi and his team are hands down the best! He is amazing! I would not go to anyone else, I trust him 100%. I drive over 2 hrs to see him. His office staff are amazing as well. They are very knowledgeable. If you call the office it does not matter who you talk to they all know what is going on and are able to help you and answer any question you have. Decided on 485 cc's under the muscle. I just had my surgery yesterday and so far so good! - I'm 30 years old and I have two kids, I've wanted implants for a long time, after I breastfed my youngest who is now 5 years old, I became very deflated and hated my chest, I was a 36D. I met my surgeon Dr. Mitzuguchi about a month ago and had a virtual consultation where we decided I'd need a lift and I showed him my wish pictures, at my pre op appointment I was able to go in and try on different sizes of implants and we decided on 485 cc's under the muscle, I just had my surgery yesterday and so far so good! I'm very happy with my results so far, and dr. Mitzuguchi and his staff are amazing, very pleasant to work with and very tentative to their patients needs. I'm pretty sore today but it's nothing too bad, I'm on muscle relaxers and pain killers, and I have my first post op visit on Monday!!!
Your time with him is never rushed. The staff really takes the time to know you and answer any questions.

Before scheduling a Helix treatment, you will meet with our Nurse to determine if you are a candidate for Helix and what the best treatment plan for you would be. The beauty in Helix is that it is a completely customizable treatment that can be adjusted to treat most skin types and tones.
How does Helix work?
A Helix laser works by combining both ablative (CO2) and non-ablative (1570 nm) laser wavelengths in a single device, allowing it to target both the superficial and deeper layers of the skin simultaneously, resulting in skin rejuvenation. Essentially, the Helix can resurface the top layer of the skin while simultaneously stimulating collagen production in the deeper layers depending on the treatment settings chosen.
How long is recovery?
Unlike other lasers, Helix offers a quicker recovery time. Depending on the treatment performed, you can expect to see some redness and swelling post treatment. The feeling of warmth or heat from the skin can be expected immediately after treatment as well. Side effects usually go away within a few days to a week.
How long does it take to see results?
Improvements from Helix procedures can be seen within a few days of treatment, but results can take a few months to fully develop. The number of treatments needed can vary, and some patients may achieve their desired results after one treatment.
